Using mods in 7DTD can be great, but they can also at times be unstable.
Unfortunately, we do not maintain any familiarity with how any particular third party mod works or what issues it may have, and are therefore unable to offer any support for mods that may have been installed.
The only way we can definitively rule out the possibility that a problem is mod-related, is if it occurs in the unmodified (‘vanilla’) game.
To rule this out, mods must be disabled to check against the vanilla game.
Below you can find the steps to insure you are playing on the vanilla game and have disabled mods:
1. Select “Play” in Steam to begin 7 Days to Die.
2. In the launch option window that appears, select “Show game launcher” followed by the “Play” button.
3. In the game launcher window that appears, select the “Tools” tab.
4. Select the “Open game folder” button.
5. In the operating system window that appears, open the “Mods” folder.
6. IMPORTANT: Do not move, edit, or delete the “0_TFP_Harmony” folder. This is a mod that comes with the game.
7. Move or delete all other files or folders from the “Mods” folder.
If you have:
1. Disable all mods via the steps above; and then
2. Begin a NEW saved game; and see that
3. The problem persists;
...then you may have identified a bug in the vanilla game. If this happens, then we encourage you to report the issue as a Bug Report to support.
If the problem isn't visible or occurring on the vanilla game, then please enable each mod one at a time to try to isolate which mod could be the cause of the problem.
Once you have found the mod that is causing the problem then you would have to contact the creator of the problem mod for assistance.
